The Spectrum is our first-ever multi beam-color tactical flashlight. In addition to its primary white light, it offers red, green and blue beams, as well as a low level and strobe, for a total of six available modes. The high white mode is always the default, while any of the others can be user-programmed as a secondary level, activated with a double-tap of the tail switch. Law enforcement applications for alternate-colored beams include:
- Red: Preserves night vision
- Green: Extends run time, may not startle animals
- Blue: Cuts through fog, tracks blood and other bodily fluids
Dual Fuel Technology means you'll never be without a power source―it runs with either a rechargeable 18650 battery (included) or 2 CR123A primary (single use) cells, sold separately. The 18650 battery charges inside the flashlight, using the supplied cord, or any micro USB phone/electronics charging cord―no separate battery charger needed. An onboard indicator shows real-time charge status when the 18650 battery is in use—just open the bezel and press the tail switch. A green light indicates over 50% charge remaining, yellow means 20% to 50%, and red alerts you that less than 20% charge remains.
Like all ASP tactical flashlights, the Spectrum is built to the most demanding law enforcement duty standards. It’s machined from 6061 T6 aerospace aluminum and type III hardcoat anodized in a proprietary matte black finish. The barrel is wrapped in our exclusive, all-weather foamed vinyl grip. Premium components include Cree XPG LED, gold-plated connectors, polished aluminum reflector and optical glass lens. In keeping with our emphasis on intuitive design and simplicity in our law enforcement tools and training, activation of the Spectrum is via a single pressure switch. A 3-position twist selector allows choice of momentary, constant-on, or locked.
NOTE: ASP flashlights feature removable/movable pocket clips. To remove the clip, use a 1/16 hex key to back out the screw, then remove the clip and ring. Most ASP baton scabbards and Tactical Light Cases include a 1/16 hex key, stowed behind the belt clip.
